Journal Entry-1/21/2012

I wasn’t really in the mood to workout this morning. I’m pretty sure it had something to do with eating chicken salad last night and drinking Iced Tea. But I did exercise. I’m getting back into the habit of exercising on a daily basis, so I did a light workout (10 Minutes on the treadmill, Perfect Push-up Workout, Iron Gym Pull Ups & 8 Minute Abs video). I know I can do much more but I’m still getting into the routine. I’m thinking about hitting the treadmill some more later in the day since I we’re snowed in today. Well, not really snowed in but I’m not taking any chances driving around on ice to go to the movies. Besides, it gives me the chance to catch up on some reading. Until Next time, peace.

Get Fit Or Die Trying

“Get Fit Or Die Trying” isn’t a movement. More like a mindset or lifestyle evaluation in all categories of my life. (Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Financial & Social)

What Does Healthy Mean?

health·y

–adjective, health·i·er, health·i·est.
1. possessing or enjoying good health or a sound and vigorous mentality: a healthy body; a healthy mind.

“…in studying be very, very certain you never go past a word you do not fully understand. If the material becomes confusing or you can’t seem to grasp it, there will be a word just earlier that you have not understood. Don’t go any further, but go back to BEFORE you got into trouble, find the misunderstood word and get it defined.” —L. Ron Hubbard

You’re probably asking why I posted the above quote or why I called this entry “What Does Healthy Mean?” Well, in order to fully grasp anything you must be able to understand it. The goal of this blog is to help me go from Unhealthy To Healthy, all while learning as much about health in general, so I can use the information in my pursuit of becoming a Nutritionist & pursing other health related careers. With that being said, I figured I would start off by defining the word “healthy”. By doing this, I feel I’m gaining a better understanding of the word itself and laying out the overall goal for myself, to truly be healthy inside & out by living a healthy lifestyle. L. Ron Hubbard is saying never go by a misunderstood word without looking up the definition & attempting to understand its meaning. So, that’s what I’m trying to do. I want to understand the word healthy, and work towards actually living by the word itself or embodying the meaning of the word. Now that I’ve done that, I feel better prepared to move forward on the path towards being healthy.

Let’s Begin…

First off, thank you for reading this. I created this blog in hopes of recording my journey towards becoming a healthier person & living a healthy lifestyle by following the teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, from his books How To Eat To Live 1 & 2. As well as other magazines, articles & books about Health in general. Also, I plan on using the information I learn to help prepare me for careers in Nutrition & other health related fields. Once again, I want to thank you for reading & I pray you get something beneifitual from my writings.
